When asking businesses what social media platforms they are on I often get a very ‘chuffed’ response, of Facebook, Twitter and maybe even Instagram. But when I ask them how their activities are tracking in line with their social media strategy, the chuffed persona holts and stares back, a little puzzled.
Social media, no matter which one you choose to be on should always be in line with a strategy – what is it that you are actually striving towards and what are your expected outcomes? You may find the person responsible for your social media is 'shooting blind' and the quality of content is not hitting the mark.
Your social media plan should entail:
